Quick, point out Waltham on the map! Not sure where it is? Don't panic! It's not a graded question. Here's a hint, click here.By now, you most likely know that Waltham is located a little under 10 miles (16 km) from Boston, but what else do you know about your new home? As many of you may already know, Waltham is located in the state of Massachusetts, which is one of the most historic states in the USA. Waltham brings its own share of history, as the birthplace of the American industrial revolution. History aficionados can click here to learn about Waltham's past. As a suburb of Boston, Waltham offers its own unique flair without the hustle and bustle of the big city. Waltham features a great variety of restaurants ranging from inexpensive eateries to the finest dining. Most of these restaurants are located on or near Moody Street. If you are looking for a cosmopolitan bar with flavorful food and a sophisticated atmosphere, then Tempo might be the place for you. Mad Raven is a popular Wednesday night spot for Brandeis students. "The Raven" is located on Main Street and offers a wide selection of beers and pub food served late. Margaritas is great for its outdoor seating right by the Charles River on Moody Street with a fun atmosphere and great drinks, but for authentic Mexican food check out Taqueria Mexico on Charles Street. Finally, for dessert, do not miss Lizzy's Ice Cream, located on Moody Street, which offers homemade ice cream that is absolutely delicious. We recommend the hot fudge sundae, and the chocolate chip, and the oreo cookie, and the strawberry, and the.....well, it's all so good! These are just some of our favorites, so make sure to explore all the other options in Waltham.
